Under general supervision, oversees the efforts of others in the delivery of specific program services to clients. Directly supervises program staff and is responsible for appropriate record-keeping, reports and ensuring programs meet desired objectives, outcomes and stay within budget. Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral for Treatment (SBIRT) is an evidence-based practice that will be implemented in federally qualified health centers, other health care provider organizations, schools, and behavioral health organizations, possibly jails and/or detention centers throughout Houston. The SBIRT Program Manager will oversee SBIRT implementation activities and ongoing activities. Implementation activities include site-specific planning with organization stakeholders, workflow analysis, development of a customized implementation plan, selection of screening instruments, integration of SBIRT into electronic health records, development of training materials and provision of training, implementation pilot, coaching and modification of protocol followed by full implementation with follow-up. The SBIRT Program Manager will liaise with participating health centers, schools, the project evaluator(s), other agencies, and community organizations involved with the project such as SAMHSA.


Skills:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: •Bachelor’s degree in a social services discipline. Master’s preferred. •Maintains current, appropriate licensure/credentials in specialty area as required: LCDC, LMSW, etc. •At least 3 years of directly related leadership experience- prefer bilingual Spanish and previous experience working with Hispanic populations. •Proficiency in the use of the computer and Microsoft Word programs including Excel. •Ability to work with groups from diverse racial, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds. •Strong oral and written communication skills •Skill in managing multiple tasks simultaneously. •Demonstrated strong project management skills – ability to plan, organize, and execute.
