The Division of Neonatology is searching for a highly motivated and talented Senior Coordinator, Business Operations candidate that will provide support to the division by assisting division Faculty. The candidate will perform financial and business processes and work with other central departments. 

Job Duties

  • General: 15%
  • Coordinates day-to-day business and financial activities of core faculty located at Ben Taub. 
  • Coordinates calendar and meetings for the Medical Director of Lactation Department.
  • Serves as primary coordinator of house staff for the nurseries.
  • Works closely with Texas Children's business partners to support our Ben Taub faculty. 
  • Coordinates mail/package transpiration between different hospitals. 
  • Ensures neonatal office suites’ cleanliness and maintenance of office supplies and food and snacks.
  • Administration: 30%
  • Assists Medical Director of the Level 3 NICU Program with all regulatory and preparatory functions to maintain State Designations. 
  • Tracks and provides detailed information as required to maintain the units state designation. Maintains and accumulates required reports, manages and drafts comprehensive and complete minutes for State review for the submission every three years. 
  • Maintains minutes and assists with agendas for Nursery Service as well as Quality and Safety Meetings for both the Medical Director and the Chief Safety officer. 
  • HR: 35%
  • Supports faculty medical directors and coordinate faculty interviews on behalf of medical director. Manages all recruitment activates coordinating faculty visits, creating interview schedule, travel and lodging. 
  • Assists the Chief of Staff of Pediatrics with needed credentialing for all neonatal and pediatrics physicians for BTGH gathering, maintains required documents, and obtains signatures. 
  • Coordinates on-boarding and Ben Taub orientation for medical students and house staff rotating through Newborn/NICU.
  • Coordinates all fellows/medical student activities for Pediatrics-Newborn at Ben Taub.
  • Financial: 20%
  • Processes all reimbursements for expenses and travel using knowledge of Concur, and SAP functions. 
  • Tracks all memberships and licensees for renewal; submits appropriate reimbursement requests through Concur. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.
