Vaccine Operations Supervisor will oversee a team of Vaccine Distribution Unit (VDU), Mass Vaccine Site or Congregate Setting Site supervisors. The Vaccine Operations Supervisor will be responsible for leading and supervising the Site Supervisors, training new staff members, providing field and logistical support to site supervisors, delegating daily shift schedules, duties, and site supervisor responsibilities, maintaining a working knowledge of vaccination procedures, working with vendors, monitoring compliance with operational policies, and providing excellent customer service.

 

Vaccine Operations Duties:

  • Oversees the vaccine operations/activities for a team VDU, Mass Vaccinations or Congregate team of site supervisors.
  • Be the main point of contact to support site supervisors.
  • Responsible for workflow facilitation that increases productivity and enhances customer experience.
  • Monitors and manages daily inventory of site supplies required for vaccinations.
  • Ensures operations staff is following vaccination protocols and communicate constructive feedback to the site supervisors for continuous improvement.
  • Develops status and or metrics routine or ad-hoc reports.
  • Ensures provision of outstanding customer service.
  • Participates in vaccination site activities as needed.
  • May travel within the Harris County.

Leadership Support Duties:

  • Responsible for recruitment, hiring, training and supervision of employees assigned to the Team.
  • Provides oversight and direction to employees within the team by organizing, planning staffing levels, ensuring new employee training, performance management, etc.
  • Fosters a spirit of teamwork to accomplish site goals.
  • Conducts daily meetings with site supervisors.

Quality assurance Duties:

  • Ensures compliance and conformance with internal policies, procedures, and protocols as well as external guidelines, laws, and regulations as appropriate to the function.
  • Participates in quality assurance activities VDUs, Mass Vaccine or Congregate operations.

Other Duties:

  • Performs other duties as assigned, including special tasks involved in responding to an emergency event.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health or other related field.
  • Valid Driver’s License (TX upon hire).
  • Three (3) years of increasingly responsible operational experience. 
  • Two (2) of those years in a supervisory capacity; and One (1) year of the supervisory experience must be in a public health or healthcare environment.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including 365 (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders both internal and external.

SALARY: 

  • Commensurate with experience. 
  • Based on 26 pay periods.
