Assists in providing immunization and health services to Fort Bend County residents in the prevention of communicable diseases. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group. ROTATES BETWEEN MISSOURI CITY, ROSENBERG AND KATY LOCATIONS.
Assists patients and staff as required in daily operation of clinic. Prepares equipment for transportation to satellite clinics. Maintains records of patients and services provided by clinic. Inventories literature and forms and orders and updates forms as necessary. Collects fees and makes change and inputs fees into account receivable log. Drives vehicle to and from satellite clinics; drives mobile unit. Keeps maintenance logs and assures all upkeep of the units. Answers telephone and responds to inquiries or directs to appropriate person. Participates in weekend or evening immunization clinics, health fairs and other program functions as needed. Provides outreach services via mobile unit and satellite clinic. Assists in auditing daycare and schools to ensure they are in compliance with state regulations. May be asked to participate in community outreach events. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
High School Diploma/GED; Six months job related experience. (Six months Health Care related experience and Certified Medical Assistant preferred.) Good computer and typing skills. (Type 35 WPM preferred.) Good data entry skills and good verbal and written communications skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and deal effectively with the public and other employees. Organizational skills and ability to complete assigned tasks with a tight deadline and the ability to prioritize own work. Valid Texas Driver’s License. Bi-lingual preferred, (able to read and speak Spanish). This position rotates between Missouri City, Rosenberg and Katy locations. Involves working 1 (sometimes up to 2) Saturdays a month for four hours.
SALARY RANGE: Administrative/Clerical Grade 5, $1,085.60 - $1,277.60 biweekly based on qualifications
