Risk Reduction Supervisor - Grant Funded - Clinical Health Services

Conducts and supervises comprehensive Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) activities to ensure HIV and STD prevention services are provided to persons at greatest risk of acquiring and/or transmitting HIV and STD infections. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.
Supervises the work of the Risk Reduction Specialist as they conduct interviews and partner elicitations. Performs HIV and STD prevention activities; counselling, condom distribution and testing. Conducts and reviews case management activities. Conducts quality assurance activities ensuring activities are conducted accurately, completely, and in compliance with established standards. Reviews the case management plan for each case to enhance disease prevention outcomes. Reviews the prevention activities documentation and stores protected health information securely. Prepares and submits reports as required by grant contract. Consults with collaborating agencies to ensure rapid and confidential examination, treatment and services for clients. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
High School Diploma/GED; Knowledge of HIV and medical terminology. Three years of experience with HIV education and outreach activities preferred. Good computer and typing skills along with knowledge of computer applications. Skilled in data entry. Good verbal and written communication with strong interpersonal skills. The ability to interact and deal effectively with the public and all levels of employees. Good organizational skills and the ability to complete assigned tasks within tight deadline and to prioritize own work. Ability to interpret policies and to implement procedures.
SALARY RANGE: Public Health Grade 10, $1,776.80 - $2,090.40 biweekly based on qualifications
