Administrative Assume responsibility for any and all requirements for private school accreditation status. Assist with strategic planning of the children's cancer hospital and develop and implement plans goals, and objectives consistent with institutional strategic initiates. Provide clear direction and priorities toward a common vision; clarify roles and responsibilities for employees; promote empowerment. Manage daily operations and staff of school program.
Human Resources Independently recruit, orient, manage and evaluate all teachers and school re-entry specialists, contracted teachers, graduate students, and school volunteers within the program. Assess strengths and development needs of employees; provide challenging development opportunities; provide relevant, timely feedback; mentor others. Perform routine evaluations and create opportunities for growth amongst staff.
Practice Based Learning Development and Improvement Participates in ongoing learning and demonstrates application in the program. Attend conferences and seminars and implement best practices within the school program. Continue to network with school community increase awareness of children's cancer hospital.
Required: Master's degree in Special Education, Education or related field. Five years education experience to include two years in educational program development and two years of management/supervisory experience. Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate program may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience. Teaching Certification, K-12.
